Here are a few thoughts from some organizers I have had the pleasure of speaking for:
“Sara got rave reviews from the group of social media newbies gathered for her stellar presentation at Women Writing for a Change! In her high energy and humorous way she was able to move the group from puzzlement or fear of social media to a greater level of comfort and understanding. In her thorough explanation of the social media networking sites, Sara expertly detailed the uses and benefits of each. She was thoroughly prepared; shared lots of content and attended to the individual needs and questions of the group gathered. She made it fun, entertaining and very informative. Sara is great to work with and we’ll be asking her to come back for more!”
-Nan Fischer, Board President of Women Writing for a Change
“Awesome. That’s how my students summed up Sara’s recent visit, via Skype, to our classroom. Sara was an inspirational and articulate orator who spoke with great knowledge, humour, candour, and charisma to my office administration students on the subject of careers in virtual assistance.”
-Frank Armstrong, owner of WordStrong Consulting and business communications professor at St. Lawrence College – Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

Bio:
Sara Carbaugh is the main magic worker at Your Creative Ally where she helps to create torture-free online marketing plans and training programs to help Creatives create an online presence they love. Well known for her humor and her sparkling personality, Sara brings a fun and quirky feel to her work. Sara is a Certified Virtual Author’s Assistant and loves to work with new, up and coming authors. She is also an active member and volunteer with IVAA as well as The Buckeye VA Connection in real life.
Sara lives in Hamilton, Ohio (near Cincinnati) with her husband Josh and her beautiful daughter Aerith.
Long(ish) Bio:
In March of 2009, Sara Carbaugh realized that she was not cut out for the “stay at home mom eating bon-bons all day” life style and decided to create a virtual assistant business called Right Click Office Services. She offered WordPress, email newsletters, document creation, contact management and many more services to help entrepreneurs with their everyday tasks.
You may say, “But I thought her business name was Your Creative Ally!” and you would be correct because after a year or so of working with anyone and everyone who fogged up a mirror and wanted to give her money, she realized that her true audience was the fun, creative people who she really connected with like authors, artists and actors. She re-branded and focused her message so that now her business focuses on creating online marketing strategies as well as creating training packages to help Creatives create an online presence that they love. By using her fun and quirky personality she is able to train clients on using Facebook, Twitter, Google+, email marketing and WordPress websites to create a marketing plan that will engage their audience in a way that doesn’t feel like torture for her client.
When she’s not writing her blog/newsletter and sharing fun stories and tips, tweeting and Facebooking about her love of Doctor Who or checking her email for the 500th time that day (she has a problem and we have an intervention scheduled…) you can find her on stage in local community theater, playing online games, re-watching Princess Bride for the umptenth time or reading fun and interesting books about business, science fiction/fantasy or fun biographies.
Sara lives in Hamilton, Ohio (near Cincinnati) with her husband Josh and her beautiful daughter Aerith, who is both her reason for working AND her reason for drinking. (Please send her rum and Cokes if you see her out; she deserves them…)
